Living in Winchburgh
Winchburgh is primarily residential, with residents tending to commute to surrounding towns, especially to Edinburgh which is linked by a good bus service.
In Winchburgh itself, there are a number of shops and small supermarkets providing most daily requirements. The town centre provides all the usual local amenities, including a post office.
Should a more extensive or specialised shopping trip be required, it is a simple matter to travel two or three miles to Broxburn, which offers a wide variety of shops. Linlithgow is slightly further away, and this also has a large commercial centre.
South Queensferry is just a few miles away, and offers a wide variety of water sports, including sailing and water skiing.
West Lothian offers a number of places of historic interest and there are delightful walks through open countryside.
