Living in Cramond
The exclusive village of Cramond is located on the north western outskirts of the City, bordered by the Forth Estuary to the north and the City itself to the south. The area is considered to be one of the City’s most prestigious residential suburbs which, despite its charming and peaceful setting, is just three miles from the City Centre and within minutes of the Airport, City Bypass and motorway network.
Undeniably picturesque and of considerable historic interest, the village is well able to cater for the practicalities of day-to-day living, with two supermarkets and at nearby Barnton and Davidsons Mains, as well as a post office and banking service and a wealth of small speciality shops. Schooling is well represented from nursery to senior level, with a nursery available at the nearby primary school.
The area also benefits from a great selection of leisure activities, including a variety of riverside walks and cycle paths, and The Royal Burgess and Bruntsfield Links golf courses. There is also a thriving sailing club at Cramond Harbour.
