Living in Carlops
Carlops Village is nestled in the Pentland Hills at the entrance to the Scottish Borders. This is a lovely rural location less than 15 minutes drive or 12 miles from the outskirts of Edinburgh.
Carlops supports a vibrant local community with a number of events including regular craft markets, centred around the new village hall. In addition, the village is only a short distance from West Linton which has a well regarded primary school and has a number of shops, cafes, delicatessen, bar and restaurants.
There is a diverse range of recreational activities with some beautiful walks and a well regarded Golf Club, Tennis Club and Bowling Club. The annual Whipman Play features a rideout and and numerous activities for children and families on the village green.
