Solicitors frequently deal with Certifying Documents but there is some confusion about whether the documents simply need to be certified or whether they need to be notarised. There is a specific difference between these two methods of formalising documents. If a document simply needs to be certified, a much wider range of people are available to certify the document. However, if a document needs to be notarised, this must be done by a Notary Public. Many solicitors are Notaries Public and are available to notarise your documents.
